Recently I heard that Phantasy Farm, Port Dickson have been taken over by the people that runs Farm in the City in Seri Kembangan. We have visited the Farm in the City before and it was awesome. The children loved it. You can read my review here. Farm in the City . Malaysia’s Premier Petting Zoo.
Sometime in 2018, I wrote a post on a little Mix and Match Petting Zoo in Port Dickson. Called the Windmill PD Farm. A blend between a Petting Zoo, Antique House and Haunted House. You can read the post here. PD Windmill Farm – A little Mix and Match Park. Now the PD Windmill Farm is being run by the people from Farm in the City. As we couldn’t go far because of the Pandemic, we pick to spend some time here. A little outing for the children.
Now it is Phantasy Farm Port Dickson. At the entrance, they have retained the blue sports car and the colourful windmill. So you wouldn’t missed this place while driving. They have kept the original front layout from the PD Windmill Farm. But they are adding more items towards the back. You start at the entrance at the Guinea Pigs pen. Where you can feed and pat the animals. As it was drizzling, most of the Guinea Pigs huddled under the shade. But the staff there manage to get 3 for my kids to feed and play with.
Then you stroll through the Bird Cage. The friendly staff gave my children each a bird to hold. I was astonished that my squemish second child let a bird sit on his shoulders while he fed it.After that was the Rabbit’s Pen of which they had a fun time chasing and carrying bunnies. Then it was off to my daughter’s favourite animal. Cats. I had to stand outside as I was allergic to cat fur.
Turning to the right, you will come to their new additions which was not available before. There were showcases of little creatures, snakes and reptiles. Also a large enclosure with Racoons. At Farm in The City, my son got the chance to feed the Racoons. But here, the staff said they are still wild.
Then it was off to Longkang Fishing. Something we did when we were kids. Catching little fishes in our drains. Here the kids tried their hand at catching small fishes. The drains here is much bigger than the ones at the Farm in the City. Therefore its quite hard to catch the fishes. My eldest managed to catch 2.
Alpaca Pen was next. With an alpaca, goats and other animals. As we arrive late alot of animals were already being fed. So there were not much to see.
Grandma’s Backyard which had a colourful treehouse with slides. A nice place for the parents to rest their legs. While the kids slide down the treehouse and play at the swings. The tree was rather large and shady.
The Antique House and the Haunted House was from the previous place. But we opt out as it was quite late.
I found that they are still adding more things as there were quite a number of construction going on. So will visit again in the near future once everything is ready. All in all its a nice to be when you are in Port Dickson. The staff are friendly. Take your time and enjoy playing with the animals. Your little ones will surely love. My three ‘Budak Bandar’ loved it. And wants to visit again.
