As I have mentioned previously, I intend to go for the 6th Putrajaya International Hot Air Fiesta. I took some days off and we went to Putrajaya on a Thursday. I had tried to book the 28th of March which was a Friday so we could stay and watch the Night Glow but the hotel was already fully booked for Saturday. I supposed it was also due to the Formula 1 in Sepang on the same day. But its ok, there’s always next year.
We arrived at Pullman Lakeside Resort quite late in the evening and everyone was tired. So we just lazed around and had dinner at their all day dining restaurant. Next day everyone woke up late as the bed was comfortable and aircon was great. Therefore we only reached Precint 2 at 11.00am. We missed the morning flight session. Thanks to the Waze App on my phone we found the way quite easily. Putrajaya can be really confusing with all its different Presints.
As we missed the morning session, we had our brunch first. There were many stalls set up with a large covered dining area. Even fast food like KFC, Pizza Hut had mobile kitchens there. So food was not a problem. After lunch we went around, my little one played some games. We lazed on a field overlooking the Putrajaya lake. They even setup some beanbags there. It was really nice to relax under a shady tree with cool breeze blowing. As we had some time on our hands, we took the Putrajaya Lake Cruise. It look like it was going to rain, therefore we ran to to our car. It rained really hard. But it was a really God Send as it cool the place down.
At 6.00pm the moment we were waiting for began. My two little ones got so exited. You should have heard them shouting.

After this the Air Boss didn’t allow any balloon to fly cause the wind was strong. So they just inflated the balloons to let people view.

Although we didn’t get to see all the balloons fly, it was truly a unique experience. My other half said we will be back for either the Putrajaya Flora Fest or the fireworks.
