Petrosains

We went there after having lunch at the Food Court on the 4th floor of the Petronas Twin Towers. Bought tickets at the counter, which was quite cheap RM15.00 for Adults and RM5 for children aged 3-12 years old.

We spent almost 2 hours there. One good thing that the Petrosains Management did was put up rest areas everywhere, people can rest while their kids explore their many exhibits. Not many places I’ve been think of this. They even provide free lockers and strollers.

You enter via a black pod shaped vehicle. Something very unique. Its called the Dark Ride and last for about 4 minutes. The Dark Ride really makes you feel that you are travelling in space.

There is alot of interactive displays to try. My son’s favourite was the Mini Excavator and the Oil Rig Escape Chute.

I didn’t take much photos as I busy explaining different experiments and displays to my six year old. We even tried the Hurricane Simulator, where the wind reaches to 130km per hour. Then we moved on to the Geotime Diorama where we greated by a large moving dinosaur. Here you learn about earth, fossil and petroleum. Then you move on to the Exploration exhibits where you learn the inner workings of the oil and gas explorations. Here’s where my son tried the Chute and the Mini Excavator. Then we moved to the Sparkz, where there’s more interactive displays to try. As for my two year old he enjoyed the Giant Lego blocks so much so I had to pull him away from it.

But going there and experiencing for your self is better.

Its quite cheap. Two adults and 1 Child and one inan, we only paid RM45.00. Don’t forget to bring your MyCard as foreigner pay a different price. If you can avoid he school holidays as it gets really crowded. There were a few things that we couldn’t try as they were so much people wanting to try it. Example was the Race Car and the Robot Football. But all in all it was a great place to bring the kids. They will get a hands on xperience about science. Muzium Kota Lukut, Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan

Muzium Kota Lukut is a small museum on top of the hill near the ruins of an old fort . There is nothing left of the Kota Lukut (Old Fort) but there is the museum that shows you the history of Lukut. Very Interesting. The entrance is free and lots of parking.

Travel at Malaysia at Azmilsyahmi

I am a diehard hotelier who loves to discover new things. I have three wonderful kids. So I love looking for fun things for my kids during my travels. Here are some of the things that we have come across

Japanese Village Bukit Tinggi is located near Colmar Tropicale. The Japanese  Village is located 3.500 feet above sea level.

To get there you have to go up a steep winding road. I suggest you take the Shuttle Bus from Colmar Tropicale so as not to tax your car.

There were supposed to be a Japanese Tea House where you can have tea and take out photos using a kimono. But it was closed. Perhaps it was the weekday. Even the Spa was closed.

03:45 My Verdict

My Verdict :-

Must have been a beautiful place pre covid.

Now the garden looks abandon. Hope they set it back soon. Such a waste. The teahouse and the spa was closed. So wanted to take a photo of my daughter in a kimono. But alas not able.

Suggest to use the hotel shuttle from Colmar Tropicale,so as not to tax your car.

We chose the Colmar Tropicale Bukit Tinggi on Berjaya Hills for our first staycation after the second lockdown. Its been almost a year or so. As I just started at this new place. I always try to look for unique places for my kids to experience.

Colmar Tropicale Bukit Tinggi is modeled after a 16th century French Village called Colmar. Something different. The rooms are simple in decorations but clean. The street below is where the action is. There's few restaurants and souvenir shops.

My verdict

The room was simple and clean. Check in was fast. Its nice to walk around just enjoying the cool air. There's pottery painting for the kids and more activities. We just relaxed and enjoy the experience.

You can also visit here on a day trip. Entrance fee will cost you RM14.

We also visited the Japanese Village and also the Rabbit Farm. Which I will share in the next video.

Not much activities were opened. Perhaps due to the pandemic. But it was a nice relaxing stay

About Me

As mentioned in my About me. I love looking for places for my kids to experience. Do contact me if you know or have a place that we can experience. My email address is at the bottom of this page. My reviews are only my opinion and how my kids like the activity or place. I only write positive things about a place and rather not write negative reviews. So I usually avoid negative reviews places. Do come back often as I will continue on My Travels of Malaysia and highlight fun and exciting activities in Malaysia.
