Underwater World Langkawi, Kedah. Escaping the Sun

The Underwater World Langkawi (UWL) is located in Pantai Cenang, Langkawi. Its found exactly toward the end of Pantai Cenang Road on the right hand side. Its not hard to miss it. Parking is plentiful, but it was full. Reason being we were there during the Malaysian School Holidays. What’s more, the complex is air-conditioned. An extraordinary spot to get away from the afternoon Langkawi sun.

Laman Padi Langkawi, Kedah. Mixed Feelings

Laman Padi Langkawi gave us mixed feelings about the place. Saw some incredible reviews on the food and Laman Padi. Yet when we were there, it was something very different. Not certain if we came at a wrong time.

Makam Mahsuri, Langkawi. A Glimpse at Langkawi’s Folklore

A must visit in Langkawi to get a glimpse at Langkawi’s Folklore is the Makam Mahsuri. Here lies the tomb of Mahsuri. Mahsuri was a young lady who lived in Langkawi whose family moved from an island in Thailand during the late eighteenth century. She was believed to be extremely beautiful.

Berjaya Langkawi Resort- My Hotel Review

The Berjaya Langkawi Resort is a wonderful retreat which has two very different room atmosphere. You can either stay at the “Rain forest Villas” of which you will be surrounded by rich greenery. Or in “On The Water Villas” which is situated on the ocean. As we have stayed on the water previously. Not in Langkawi but somewhere else. We chose the “Rain forest Villas”. And we were not disappointed.

Travel at Malaysia at Azmilsyahmi

Japanese Village Bukit Tinggi is located near Colmar Tropicale. The Japanese  Village is located 3.500 feet above sea level.

To get there you have to go up a steep winding road. I suggest you take the Shuttle Bus from Colmar Tropicale so as not to tax your car.

There were supposed to be a Japanese Tea House where you can have tea and take out photos using a kimono. But it was closed. Perhaps it was the weekday. Even the Spa was closed.

My Verdict :-

Must have been a beautiful place pre covid.

Now the garden looks abandon. Hope they set it back soon. Such a waste. The teahouse and the spa was closed. So wanted to take a photo of my daughter in a kimono. But alas not able.

Suggest to use the hotel shuttle from Colmar Tropicale,so as not to tax your car.

We chose the Colmar Tropicale Bukit Tinggi on Berjaya Hills for our first staycation after the second lockdown. Its been almost a year or so. As I just started at this new place. I always try to look for unique places for my kids to experience.

Colmar Tropicale Bukit Tinggi is modeled after a 16th century French Village called Colmar. Something different. The rooms are simple in decorations but clean. The street below is where the action is. There's few restaurants and souvenir shops.

My verdict

The room was simple and clean. Check in was fast. Its nice to walk around just enjoying the cool air. There's pottery painting for the kids and more activities. We just relaxed and enjoy the experience.

You can also visit here on a day trip. Entrance fee will cost you RM14.

We also visited the Japanese Village and also the Rabbit Farm. Which I will share in the next video.

Not much activities were opened. Perhaps due to the pandemic. But it was a nice relaxing stay

About Me

As mentioned in my About me. I love looking for places for my kids to experience. Do contact me if you know or have a place that we can experience. My email address is at the bottom of this page. My reviews are only my opinion and how my kids like the activity or place. I only write positive things about a place and rather not write negative reviews.
