Sealife Malaysia at Legoland Johor, Malaysia

On the last day of our Legoland holiday, we went into the Theme Park again. Reason being my princess wanted to drive again. And the rest wanted to go on the Dragon Roller Coaster. We spent another 2 hours at the Park. After that we cooled off at the Sealife Malaysia which was air conditioned.Disclosure: This page contains affiliate links, and at no additional cost to you, we earn a small commission if you click through and make a purchase. The Sealife Malaysia is a rather new addition to Legoland Johor. Its an interesting sea life aquarium with many different sea species on display. Its not as big as the Aquaria KLCC but had better displays than the Water World in Langkawi. The displays were really vibrant. The staff were also very helpful and friendly. As with all the staff at Legoland. They took their time answering all our enquiries. Especially the nice guy that was taking care of the Stingray Display. I loved seeing stingrays swim. They are so graceful. They were so lively. The staff there mentioned they are young stingrays. That is why they are so frisky and it was about to feeding time. The seahorse displays were also beautiful. The lady there showed us the different spicies and also the difference between male and female.
They even have a little treasure hunt which kids could do and learn about fishes. Sold at a very reasonable price. I felt like that was a good idea as kids can learn about the sealife during the tour. Rather than just walking around admiring the fishes.
The interactive colouring station is very innovative and fun for both kids and adults. This place is not too big, so you can cover all the exhibits in less than 2 hours.

My Verdict

Sea Life Malaysia was interesting and educational. Its a nice place to cool off. You can visit it after your day at the Theme Park. Their staffs are a real gem. They were willing to answer our questions and queries. Which other aquariums that we have visited lacked. This place is not too big, so can cover all the exhibits in less than 2

Legoland Johor Malaysia, Rebuilding the Fun

A Revisit to Legoland Theme Park

As with the Legoland Hotel, we returned to the Legoland Theme Park because of my princess. And furthermore that we had a ton of fun the last time. This time I was fortunate. I purchased the Triple Pass Ticket and got the unlimited 365 daily entry Triple Park Pass for one year. So we could go in whenever we want too.

We had an early breakfast and waited outside the entrance early. Point to note. They don’t permit outside food and beverages into the park. The security will check your bags. But they do standby chiller lockers for rent to store in case you brought anything.

We started at the Driving School for my son. And princess took the Junior Driving School. Which she like so much so that we had to come back the next day.

Junior Driving School
Then we headed over to the Boating School. We had so much fun, should have heard mummy laughing.

Boating School

The Shipyard

Then the Lego City Airport. Later to Pharaoh’ s Revenge shooting baddies. Then to the much anticipated Ninjago Ride. A fun 3D ride. Wanted to go again the next day but alas there were some technical issues

Had ice cream at the Burger Junction to cool down. Then a short stopover at the Duplo Playtown with a mini train ride. Took a 360 view of Legoland from the Observation Tower.

Duplo Playtown
As everyone was tired, we skipped the Lego Kingdoms. But we came back the next day. Here my wife and eldest son took a roller coaster ride on the The Dragon. Later they took a ride on the Dragon Apprentice roller coaster which was slightly smaller.

The Dragon

We ate at the Asian Deli by the Lego Academy. Athough its was a bit costly but it was delicious. While the wife and the two littler children were resting at the Asian Deli. I and the oldest made a beeline for the Star Wars show. We were so charmed the wonderful Star Wars creation that we go through 20 minutes in there. Really sad that this display is finishing toward the year’s end.

As everyone was tired we headed back to our room. Took a 2 hour rest and headed to the Lego Waterpark. We had a good time there too riding the Build A Raft river.

Our Verdict

The entire family particularly the youngsters loved it so much. Everything is so clean and they took extraordinary effort in guaranteeing safety of each ride. Indeed, even the Waterpark, safety was taken consideration off. There were free flotation jackets for the grown-ups and kids free if charge. Furthermore, there were lifeguards station at each corner. Will return as we currently have a 365 every day passage Triple Pass.

Legoland Malaysia Resort, Johor. Revisit

My second visit to this amazing resort. Stayed here before in 2016. That time we stayed in the Pirate Themed room. My two young boys had a great time then. Came back again this time cause my little girl was a baby the last time we stayed here. She was grumbling that, she never experienced staying in Legoland Hotel. This was after seeing the family photo of our holiday at Legoland Malaysia Resort.Disclosure: This page contains affiliate links, and at no additional cost to you, we earn a small commission if you click through and make a purchase.

So this time we took, a Kingdom Room for my little princess. As normal it was a comfortable and amazing stay. Service was excellent as usual. Staff were friendly and took extra effort to make the kids happy. Check in and out was fast. There is a huge area in the lobby to keep the children busy with Lego bricks. Kept my children occupied during our stay. So we spend very little time in the room. This time around there was a magic show in the lobby.

The room was spotless, beds were comfortable. The room and washroom was decorated with lego figures and the wallpaper to suit the kingdom theme. The bed with a roll away bed at the base could sleep 3 children. There is a children sink which my princess adored brushing her teeth. This time there were kids amenities too like little room sleepers and children toothbrush. My three kids rushed to find the clues with information to open the safe which had little presents for them.

Food was nice. We had their BBQ on the first night. Nice varieties of colourful desserts. For the next day dinner, we walked out to Medini mall and had dinner at the Oldtown Cafe. There is lots of food outlets at the Medini Mall to choose from. There’s KFC, Burger King, a Thai Restaurant, Pizza Hut and more. Now there is even a grocer there. There ia even an ATM machine at the Mall. Breakfast at the Brick Family Restaurant spread was awesome. But it was a bit crowded and noisy. Can’t expect much, after all this is a family resort.

Don’t worry about the check out time. Cause the resort will validate the parking ticket that allows you to go out anytime after you check out. And you could either store your luggage at the concierge counter. Thats what we did, check out at 10.30am. Left our luggage at the concierge. Went again for another round at the theme park and the Sealife Malaysia. Then only left the area at 3pm.

My Verdict.

Great experience. Although its quite expensive but recommended at least once. Staff are really courteous and friendly. Kids were kept occupied with lots of lego blocks around the lobby. Overall a good vacation and the kids had lots of fun. All in all, we all enjoyed ourselves. As in all my reviews. Don’t listen to the moaners. Try this place at least once and you will not regret it.

Legoland Johor Malaysia. Building Up Fun

Part of my kid’s present was a trip into Legoland Theme Park. We didn’t take the water park as we didn’t want the children to be too exhausted.

We began at the Driving School at Legocity. Where my son got to drive his own Lego car around on the roads complete with traffic lights and stop signs. There’s also one for toddlers but my 5 year was not keen. So we move on. As the Boating School was under maintaince, we proceeded to the Rescue Academy. Its a little Fire Station. The activity here was more of a team effort. You need to pump the handle to move the fire truck to a building, run and pump water to a gap at the building. Until the fire fighter comes up, then run back to the fire truck and move back. It was fun challenging different families. Later my wife and my children went to the Airport City to go for Airplane Merry Go Round.

Then we headed for the Land of Adventure, starting with the Lost Kingdom adventure ride and later the bouncy Bettle Bounce.

Next to the Land of Adventure there the Ninjago World. The Ninjago ride at Legoland was my son’s favourite. He was so excited after coming out. He love fighting bad guys with fireball. Even the Ninjago World is so beautifully done. You can judge from the pictures below

After that we headed to Lego Kingdoms where my two sons gallop on horses around a course. It was great for my five year old but my eight year old was not impressed. He was more interested in the roller coaster. So he and wife headed for the Dragon. They had lots of screams and fun there.

We didn’t try the Lego Technics cause the kids was so exhausted. Luckily we didn’t take the water theme park. So we opt for the train ride around the park. A great ending.

There were not many rides for toddlers but thereare some playgrounds located around the park for you to rest. While your toddler play. There are even game booths around the park, with many of them offering easy to get prizes if you play. There were numerous people carrying soft toy. We also took home a small and a large nemo soft toy. So a word advice bring additional cash as most of the game stalls only accept cash as well as the food outlets. There is a ATM machine located at the entrance next to the ticketing counter.

Verdict :- Good Place for a family vacation. What impressed me was that the park was well managed. It was clean and all the personnel were diligent, friendly and polite. Every effort was taken into consideration for the comfort and enjoyment of the visitors. They even rent out large strollers for toddlers as the park is rather large. There’s even lots of food outlets and little food kiosk located around the resort. A word of advice. Don’ t bring any food in as they check large bags at the entrance but baby formula is alright.

Opening Hours :-10.00am till 7.00pm

Legoland Hotel, Johor, Malaysia. My Hotel Review

We booked the Legoland Hotel and the amusement park as a birthday present for my two sons. One was toward the end of November and one more was at the third week of December. My eldest love building things from his Lego blocks. We didn’t let them know that we were going there. Just told them that we were going to their grandmum’s. You should have heard them shouting and clapping when they got a glimpse of the Legoland Hotel.

In the lobby there is life-sized Lego Castle and Pirate Ship. And loads of Lego blocks to play. This kept the children occupied particularly after dinner. The disco lift was a novel. Whenever the lift door closes, the disco lights and music begin playing. Everytime my kids enter the lift, they begin dancing. Check in was quick. Despite the fact that the standard check in time is 4pm, we got our room at 3pm.

There are three different theme rooms to choose Castle, Pirate and Adventure. Because of my sons, we picked the Pirate Theme. Our room was perfect. My eldest loved the treasure hunt in our room and the little treasure in the safe. He managed to get yhe clues but turned the number the wrong way. It was suppose to be from left to right. But when he managed to open the safe, he was so happy. The treasure was only two small figurine but getting it was much fun to him. Kudos Legoland. Our room came with a separate room with a bunk bed that had its own TV. The room additionally came with a crate of duplo pieces which kept everybody occupied. Even my one year old.

There are just two eateries in the hotel but there’s the Medini Mall next to it. Just walking distance. With fast food like KFC, Burger King, Secret Recipe and Old Town Coffee. The breakfast and dinner spread was magnificent. For dinner they layout a large colouring shèet on the table and give out colored pencils. Great idea. Kept the children occupied while we eat. My child chance to decorate his cookie. Should have seen his proud face.

Brick Restaurant, Legoland Hotel, Johor

All through our stay the staff were great and friendly.

Verdict : – A great place for the family if you can afford it. My children enjoyed the stay very much with activities in the room and at the lobby.  The hotel thought of everything to keep the kids happy. Most of the activities are free. As for me seeing my kids happy faces made me happy. My five year old is already asking to go back there again.
